Lyrics
Last night I went to a show. The bands were raging. The music was booming. The crowd went crazy. I almost fell asleep on my feet. 5 years from now we won't remember the show or the bands. It all feels so performative, going through the motions. It looks like maximum effort, but there's no soul behind it. Is it possible for us to find it? Or is it gone forever, replaced by a cold commodity? And here you start to sense an opportunity. The music's garbage but it seems to make some money. And if you go up there and play the same old slop, you can ride that rocket ship right to the top. If you're in this just 'cause it's a good career move, it won't be long before the kids can sniff you out. You won't be able to fool all of them forever, and they will leave you in the dust without a doubt.
